The Story of the Tea
Kimono Hojicha
Hojicha was born of thrift and turned into a classic: Japanese green tea roasted over heat until its colour turns amber and its aroma turns toasty.
Roasting changes everything. The grassy notes soften, a nutty warmth arrives, and the tea becomes remarkably easy to drink at any hour.
In Japan it is poured for children, served after dinner and drunk late in the evening. It is the quiet favourite that people discover and never leave.
What Makes It Distinctive
- 01
Roasting, not blending, creates the flavour — no artificial flavours or colours.
- 02
Lower in astringency than unroasted green tea, with a mellow, rounded body.
- 03
The most surprising tea in the collection, and the one people remember.
- 04
Comforting enough for the evening, refreshing enough for the afternoon.
